The old pier, which was made of wood and was great fun, blew down in a hurricane. The new pier has been up several years now. It's very nice but is hard and cold as concrete. Wait, it's made of concrete!

I can understand why they would prefer concrete over wood but I would prefer wood over concrete! Love the treatment here!

Piers are supposed to be made of wood -- it's a federal law or something.

Well, you (and we) may be getting bad enough weather today to test that concrete pier. (Wondering what the heck we're still doing in Florida.)
